Besides physicians, dentists, nurses and other allied health professionals who teach and advise, our staff advisors include social workers and career counselors who can provide guidance and encouragement when life becomes challenging. The Cleveland Institute is a woman-owned and operated organization focusing on helping students since 1967. Students are invited to participate in several charitable and recreational events the school sponsors each year. The original founding family still operates The Cleveland Institute today.

Financial Aid

For those who qualify, a number of grants and loans are available to help finance your career start. Being a federally approved school, our staff will help you work up a package to finance your education. The staff's purpose is to help you get a worry-free education. Please stop in and talk over the options with us.

Job Placement Assistance

The majority of Cleveland Institute graduates go directly to a job applying the skills they learned. Our placement staff works with the healthcare employers in the area to fill the demands for new employees. Over the past 30 years we have worked with over 700 employers.

Externship

Cleveland Institute will provide you with clinical experience before you receive your diploma. All programs will put you into the actual job for a specific period of time so you understand how your training is applied in the real world. This real world experience builds your confidence and attractiveness to your future employer.

Word Processing Training

Word processing instruction is a part of every program. You will learn the skills that every modern dental/medical office demands. Being taught on our computers, you will gain confidence to handle whatever equipment you encounter in your career.

CPT-ICD-9 Coding Training

Today's health professional needs to know insurance coding and billing procedures. Cleveland Institute graduates are prepared in these areas, and possess the knowledge and confidence to work efficiently in a Medical/Dental office, hospital, or clinic.

Accredited School

Cleveland Institute is accredited by Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) and approved by the Ohio State Approving Agency for Veterans Training (G.I. Bill) and the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools (#89-10-1241T, 1242T, 1243T). The school is still operated and owned by the founding administration and the officers have 70 years of experience training women and men for healthcare careers. Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Secretary and Dental Assistant graduates are eligible to sit for state or national registration/certification immediately upon graduation from the Cleveland Institute.

Classes in phlebotomy and CPT-ICD-9 coding are being offered to working medical professionals on Saturday. Please contact our Mentor or Cleveland campuses for starting dates, fees and curriculum information.
